What is the development process of standard injection mold

1. Draw mold drawings

Before drawing the mold assembly drawing, the process drawing should be made and meet the requirements of the parts drawing and the process data.The dimensions guaranteed by the next procedure shall be marked with "process dimensions" on the drawing.If no other mechanical work is done after the moulding except to repair the burrs, the process diagram will be exactly the same as the part drawing.

It is best to mark the part number, name, material, material shrinkage, drawing ratio, etc.Usually the process is drawn on the mold assembly drawing.

The final assembly drawing should adopt 1:1 ratio as far as possible. It should be drawn from the cavity first, and the main view should be drawn at the same time as other views.

The mold assembly drawing shall include the following contents:

Mold forming part structure

Structure of pouring system and exhaust system.

Parting surface and parting mode.

External structure and all connectors, positioning, guide position.

Mark cavity height dimensions (not required, as required) and mold overall dimensions.

Auxiliary tools (ejector tool, calibration tool, etc.).

Make up the serial Numbers of all parts in order, and fill in the detailed list.

Label technical requirements and instructions.

Technical requirements for mold assembly drawing:

Performance requirements for certain die systems.For example, the assembly requirements of jacking system and sliding block core-pulling structure.

Requirements for mold assembly process.For example, after mold assembly, the gap between the bonding surfaces of the parting surface should not be greater than the requirement of the parallelism on and below the 0.05mm mold, and the size determined by the assembly and the requirement for the size should be pointed out.

Mould usage, installation and disassembly method.

Anti-oxidation treatment, mold number, engraving, marking, oil seal, storage and other requirements.

Requirements for mold testing and inspection.

The order of drawing the part drawing by the general assembly drawing of the mould should be: first inside and then outside, first complex and then simple, forming parts first and then structural parts later.

Graphics requirements

The dimensions should be uniform, concentrated, orderly and complete

Surface roughness

Mark one of the most commonly used roughness at the upper right corner of the drawing, as marked "other 3.2".Other roughness symbols are marked on each surface of the part.

Other content

For example, the name of parts, mold drawing number, material number, heat treatment and hardness requirements, surface treatment, graphic ratio, free size processing precision, technical specifications, etc., should be filled in correctly.

2. Proofread and review drawings

The relationship between the mould and its parts and the drawing of plastic parts

Plastic parts

Molding equipment

Mold structure

Whether the position of the parting surface and precision machining accuracy meet the requirements, whether the overflow will occur, and whether the plastic parts can be guaranteed to stay on the side of the mould with ejector device after mold opening.

Whether the demoulding mode is correct, whether the size, position and quantity of extension rod and push tube are appropriate, whether the push plate will be stuck by the core, and whether it will cause abrasion forming parts.

Mould temperature regulation.The power and quantity of heater;Whether the position, size and quantity of the flow line of cooling medium are suitable.

To deal with the method of making side concave of plastic parts, whether the mechanism of side concave is appropriate, for example, whether the sliding block and the push rod in the core pulling mechanism of inclined guide column interfere with each other.

Casting, exhaust system location, size appropriate.

Design drawings

Whether the placement of each mold part on the assembly drawing is appropriate, whether the representation is clear, whether there are omissions;

Check the view position of all parts drawing and assembly drawing, whether the projection is correct, whether the drawing method conforms to the drawing standard, whether there is any missing dimension.

Check machining performance

Whether the geometric structure of all parts, the method of view drawing, the size label, etc. are conducive to processing

4. Organize the materials for archiving

After the test, if the mould is not used for the time being, it should be completely wiped off the mould residue, dust, oil, etc., coated with butter or other anti-rust oil or anti-rust agent, and put into the storage place for safekeeping.
